Matthew White is a founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Nu Advisory Ltd.
Prior to coming to Vietnam in 2007 from San Francisco, California, Matthew was the managing director of gaming and leisure for a private equity fund investing in emerging market casinos; the senior VP of corporate finance for a Tribal casino management company; a senior partner of a proprietary trading firm; and an equity trader for an online trading firm.
He has acted as corporate finance advisor to the founding shareholders/GPs of:
• A health & fitness chain on a US$15 million equity investment by a Singapore-based private equity firm;
• An HR Services company on a minority equity investment by a Japanese private equity firm;
• A computer hardware distributor on a 100% divestiture;
• A cafe chain on a 100% divestiture;
• A fish sauce producer on a minority sale;
• A retail pharmacy chain on a minority sale;
• A consumer product services company on a minority sale;
• A private equity fund seeking a divestiture of one of their real estate assets in Central Vietnam.
Matthew is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University (1983) in Economics and international business.
